THE SCRATCHING POST
Little Schweeb! Well, her name is actually Sweet Pea, but I call her Schweeb. She's also known as Noodles, and probably a few other nicknames that I'm forgetting at the moment. In this picture she was about 3 months old, she's a lot bigger now. In many ways she's the opposite of Isis (below) being that she's a calico/tortoiseshell with a white base instead of a black base. But, her personality traits are extremely similar- meaning that those two fight quite often. Fearless, energetic, and downright strange at times, this is an endearing and interesting creature indeed.
This is Cody,
who is also known as "nump". Cody is a longhaired cat, so he
leaves hair wherever he goes. Cody has an amazingly friendly disposition,
and is probably the friendliest cat I have ever come across. I think Cody
thinks he's a dog, since he demands affection like dogs tend to do. Cody
will never tire of being scratched, and will go out of his way to make
you scratch him. Maybe it's all that hair, I'm not sure. This guy is also
incredibly cautious. He's scared of everything and anything. Despite his
caution, however, he always seems to be on the receiving end of bites and
scratches from other animals. He mysteriously lost two of his teeth somehow. Yet
another unsolved mystery in his life, and he's not giving up any secrets.
Here is Isis,
who is much more commonly known as "satan". Satan has a beautiful tortoiseshell
coat, and is very small and cute for her age. However, this
cute exterior hides a soul of pure evil. This cat has absolutely no fear
of other cats, dogs, people, cars, trucks, and apparently death. She's
quite schizophrenic, going from a sleepy, purring delight to a scratching
and biting monster in mere moments. Most of the time she's quite personable,
but her strange personality keeps most people away from her. She often
chirps and squeals for no apparent reason. She also seeks revenge, which
is unusual behavior for a cat. Most often if you play with a cat and start
getting rough, they will run away and forget. If you should get rough with
this little devil, she will hunt you down and attack you, sometimes much
later when you least expect it. If she can't attack you, she'll often find
an alternate target to vent her frustrations. Unfortunately this usually
is poor Cody. This is a very unique and dangerous animal.
This
is our newest addition to the family. Here is Bayliss, also known as
"freak" or "freakboy". Hailing from sunny Orlando Florida,
Bayliss is not known for his intelligence. We believe he may be a
"Hemmingway Cat", since he has many unusual physical defects, such as
seven toes on each foot. Also, he has a broken tail that looks like a '?'. He's
also got an unusually soft coat. He certainly is a very strange cat, although
not evil like Isis- he is not as friendly as Cody. But, despite his deformities
we still love him. If he were the Hunchback of Notre Dame, his line would be,
"I am not an animal!!!! oh, wait... I am. Pass me the corn nuts!"
